Daywise Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 : Bagdogra Airport/NJP Railway / IXB/Siliguri to Gangtok

On arrival at IXB/NJP/Siliguri, proceed to Gangtok (5,410 ft) which is 120 km away and takes 4.5 hours approximately. After reaching Gangtok, check-in at the hotel. You can go for a stroll at MG Marg in the evening. Stay overnight in Gangtok.

Day 2 : Tsomgo Lake and New Baba Mandir Excursion

After early breakfast, start for a full day excursion to Tsomgo lake (12,400ft) and New Baba Mandir (13,200ft). Please carry 3 passport size photos and photocopies of any valid Government Photo ID proof of all travelers. School IDs/Birth certificate required for children. Please note Nathula pass (Indo Chinese border) situated at 14,500 ft. is an optional sightseeing point, which is not a part of this package. Special Permit is required for Nathula is done on extra cost, paid directly on the spot and is totally dependent in the issuance of permit by the Sikkim Tourism Dept. It is closed for visitors on Mondays and Tuesday. Permits may be granted in clubbing basis. Stay overnight in Gangtok.

Day 3 : Gangtok City Tour

Go for Gangtok full day sightseeing covering Ganesh Tok, Tashi View Point, Handicraft Institute, Flower Show, Ropeway, Tibetology, Chorten Stupa and Ban Jhakri Waterfalls. Stay overnight in Gangtok.

Day 4 : Gangtok to Kalimpong and half day city tour

Post breakfast, proceed to Kalimpong which is around 75 km away and takes 3 hours approximately. After reaching Kalimpong, go for half day local sightseeing covering Deolo Hill, Science City, Dr Graham’s Holmes and Pine View Cactus Garden. Check in at the hotel. Stay overnight in Kalimpong.

Day 5 : Kalimpong to Darjeeling

Check out of the hotel in Kalimpong and proceed to Darjeeling which is about 65 km away and is approximately 3 hours drive. After reaching Darjeeling, check-in at the hotel. You can visit the Mall Road and go for a stroll in the evening. Stay overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 6 : Darjeeling city tour

Wake up early in the morning (3:30am) to witness the sunrise from Tiger Hill (2,590 meters/13 KM/45 min). On the way back to the hotel, visit the Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. Post breakfast, visit the Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, P.N. Zoological Park (Closed on Thursdays), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursdays), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre (Closed on Sundays) and Chitrey ( Tea Garden view). Stay overnight in Darjeeling.
